 This is a special painting for me because it was inspired by a stay at a friend’s house down island. We could look out at the deep ocean, sometimes seeing dolphins and turtles. The intricate, sensual design of the Passion Flower fascinated me. There was a vine of them outside the window and I loved bringing them in to examine closer. The Purple Hibiscus is very rare. I found them both blooming and had to capture them on canvas.
