Lithography is the art of reproducing a picture on a flat piece of stone, aluminum, or zinc and taking an ink impression from it onto paper. The image is broken down into four colors and a plate is created for each color. Then the paper is pressed onto each plate in perfect registration, creating a full- color work of art.
