Both of these paintings were inspired by my wanderings in Fairchild Gardens in Miami Florida. The gardens are named after Dr Fairchild who traveled gathering plants around the world to add to his wonderful collection. I tried a different color scheme with these images.  First I painted them with nothing but ocher. I later went back and lightly added color to some areas I wanted to emphasize. I love the old sepia photos. That was what I was after.
