“Works in Progress”

This is an optical illusion painting that Lynn is working on currently. She has not painted one of these in a while. It is a three dimensional reverse perspective painting that creates the impression of movement as you walk past. The the doors appear to open or close depending on where  you are standing.  These three photos are of this painting taken from the left, center and right.  You can see the changes as they appear to happen.  This painting will stop people in their tracks as they walk past. The painting size is 24”x48”x7”.

These two pieces are the begining of a 4”X5” miniature series called “Wave Lengths”.

This is a watercolor that I painted of an interesting house we came upon when we were sailing in the Bahamas. It was the most tranquil setting.  The original is sold but we are working on a giclee of this image.

This is the stretcher for one of my paintings entitled ““High on the Hill”. It is in three sections which are screwed together. Next the canvas gets stretched and I start painting. The image has two wooden doors that open onto a tropical landscape. The size is 72” X 66”

Lynn is planning to paint another painting like this in the summer or 2008. She is designing it with shutters instead of the heavy wooden door, tropical flowers and foliage.
