THANKS ELLIOT!   from Elliot Pilshaw I’ve loved your work for many years, ever since I was strolling past the Kennedy Gallery a decade ago, and seeing your paintings through the window made me stop in my tracks.  As though I were being pulled by a magnet, I had to go inside and look! Your paintings convey a sense of clarity, freshness, and a deep appreciation for the beauty all around us — in all of its sweeping grandeur, as well as its quiet details and subtle nuance.  The breezes blowing through those windows can clear my head, help me...

WHAT IS A GICLEE   The word Giclee is French and is pronounced Zee-clay.  My prints start with an original that is scanned on a high resolution scanner.  In Giclee printing, no screen or other devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern.  The image has all the tones and hues of the original painting. The ink we use is a special archival ink which is then printed on canvas.  We have our own printer so the quality is maintained to the highest standards. The print then gets coated with an advanced U.V. protection which makes it light fast. Giclees are...

LETTER WRITTEN TO FECTEAU STUDIO   From Jean to me The “Symphony of the Sea” looks beautiful in our home.  It came just as we arrived home from church on Christmas Eve day.  It was in perfect shape.  What a wonderful surprise for my husband!  Also thank you for writing on the back and wishing him a Merry Christmas.  That was a great idea!  You have been so easy to work with and always getting right back to my emails.  I appreciate that!  Thank you! Happy New Year!...

What Makes me an Artist

What makes me an Artist?   I can’t imagine doing anything else.   I see things everywhere that are paintings. From when I wake up and I have the coffee pot in my hand making coffee.  I’ll think, “Oh look at how the morning light reflects off the pot” and on and on.  To be an artist is almost like being an exhibitionist.  You are stripped down to your skivvies and exposing yourself to the world.  My paintings are portals into my mind/ thinking/ perceiving process.  I like making people happy by painting beautiful detailed subjects.  When my breathe catches...

THANKS KACEY

Thanks to Kacey   Hi Lynn, About 3 years ago, I bought one of your prints because it was the perfect anchor for my new baby’s nursery.  We built her room around your beautiful art.  We recently moved to a new house and she moved into a “big girl bed” – we found a great quilt to go with your work, which she calls “my pretty window”. Thank you so much.  Your work is so special to me, and I know my daughter will keep it forever. Pictures attached of the original nursery, and her new big girl bed. Thank...
